With the widespread application of carbon fiber composites across various industries, the volume of waste carbon fiber materials has been rapidly increasing. However, the recycling and reuse of such materials in China remain in their early stages. Advancing the recycling and green circular application of carbon fiber composites not only benefits environmental protection, reduces carbon emissions, and supports China’s dual-carbon goals but also delivers substantial economic value for enterprises.

Upholding a commitment to sustainable development, Jiangsu Deqitech has consistently invested in the R&D of technologies and equipment for carbon fiber recycling and green circular applications. After more than three years of dedicated research, the company’s technical team has successfully developed a fully independent, continuous production line capable of processing various forms of carbon fiber composites. This achievement follows iterative innovations across three generations of equipment—from single-furnace pyrolysis units to small-scale continuous processing test lines and, finally, large-scale continuous production systems. The newly operational production line features high automation, large-scale capacity, and low energy consumption, with the recycled carbon fiber exhibiting performance metrics comparable to virgin carbon fiber. Additionally, the technical team has developed specialized sizing agents for different thermoplastics, significantly improving the dispersion and interfacial bonding of chopped recycled carbon fiber during pelletization.

The company's recycled carbon fiber composites are primarily sourced from pultruded spar caps of wind turbine blades, ensuring a stable supply with excellent material consistency. The recycled carbon fibers exhibit stable performance characteristics, demonstrate superior dispersion properties, and possess the capacity for reliable, large-volume long-term supply.

Concurrently, the company actively supports the development of recycling standards, participating in the drafting of two industry guidelines: Carbon Emission Accounting Methods for Waste Carbon Fiber Composite Recycling and Carbon Emission Accounting Methods for Waste Wind Turbine Blade Recycling. It is also pursuing Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification to meet traceability, social responsibility, and environmental requirements, ensuring minimal ecological impact throughout the recycling process.

The successful launch of the 600-ton annual recycled carbon fiber project marks a pivotal step in Jiangsu Deqitech’s strategic expansion within the carbon fiber industry. It enhances the company’s comprehensive service capabilities for markets and clients while contributing to the high-quality development of the carbon fiber sector.
